Los Angeles County Raceway was founded in 1964 as an NHRA sanctioned quarter-mile drag strip. The drag strip closed it's doors in 2007 but the Motocross track still remains, and now utilizes the ever expanding mining operation area which includes elevation changes. The high desert sandy soil is great when prepped and gets rough in a hurry.
LACR also hosts the annual Day In The Dirt event which draws numerous celebrities from the Hollywood film community.
